DESCRIPTION:Each week there is a Business Referrers meeting which provides a friendly and productive meeting opportunity for local small business owners to share referrals and grow their businesses using the membership as a platform for new ideas\, products and services. We have a guest presenter each week who provides information from their areas of expertise. \n\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nHow adaptable and resilient are you?  \n\n\n\nIf we dig in\, avoiding adjustment in challenging times\,  burrowing instead under the desk or doona in denial\, we may start to lose focus\, direction or  a sense of choice about our forward direction. Some of us become all about complaint instead of creativity. \n\n\n\nWe may make errors of judgment\, mistakes as we lose our touch on strategies to take us forward in the business of life.  Life and the week altogether may become dissatisfying\, all a bit blah. \n\n\n\nHear Mary’s walk tall strategies to power up your change muscles and sense of purpose: \n\n\n\n\n move steadily\, not dramatically through uncertainty\n\n\n\nretain energy and expertise\n\n\n\nremain creative not collapsed\n\n\n\nsee opportunity not difficulty\n\n\n\nplan and prepare for the future and brighter times\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n \n\n\nQuestions to Ask Yourself in Times of Challenge and Times of Success – Walk Tall Mary \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout the Presenter\n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nMary Unwin – Walk Tall\n\n\n\nMary’s life began as awkward.  Muddy\, messy and loud \,left-handed (more mess + school detentions).  Known as bossy among the 6 cousins\, (I call it leadership!) \n\n\n\nAs a teenager\, I found myself taller\, less graceful + poised than my dancer gymnast mother\, taller than my 1st boyfriend Kevin. Good at lacrosse though. \n\n\n\nOff to uni. in London having been told I was a high flyer to apply. Loved life\, met west country Ian\, now husband!   Lived in New Jersey for a while. Gave up lacrosse.  \n\n\n\nWorked in adult community education including literacy in Billericay\, Essex then Mosside\, Manchester.  Played squash \n\n\n\nCame to Oz as a big adventure in 1985\, soon 2 Aussie kids\, then 2 years in Auckland and back to Melbourne \n\n\n\nBecame a coach-mentor after a meditation-yoga retreat in Fiji in the early 2000’s Mary still lives life to the full and invites you to walk tall through the business of life \n\n\n\n\nClick Here to RSVP\n\n\n\n\n  \n\n\n\n\n
