As a member, you are expected to contribute referrals, attend weekly, bring guests, and present periodically on your business services.
If you cannot attend a meeting, you are expected to organise a substitute. This is to guarantee that our meetings are well-attended and that all attendees have the chance to network.
If you’re concerned about two people from the same business category attending, they can attend as a visitor and join if there is differentiation in their service offering.
Visitors are always welcome
Visitors are welcome to attend and can attend up to two meetings to get a feel for our local business community.
As a visitor, the first breakfast is complimentary, and the second breakfast is pay-as-you-go from the great Our HQ Cafe. (This could be an external link to the premises)
To register as a visitor to our local business networking group, simply click the button on our website and fill out the form.
As a visitor, you’ll be expected to present a 60-second pitch about your business and services.
How to prepare your Elevator Pitch
Arriving prepared with your 30 – 60-second business pitch can help you relax at the meeting and enjoy your breakfast.
Knowing your 30 – 60-second business pitch, also known as an “elevator pitch,” is essential for several reasons.
Firstly, it allows you to communicate your business or idea clearly and concisely. This is particularly important when you may only have a few moments to grab someone’s attention, such as in an elevator or networking event.
Secondly, having a well-prepared pitch can help you to stand out from the competition and make a memorable impression on others. This is especially crucial in competitive industries with numerous similar businesses or ideas.
Lastly, knowing your pitch inside and out can help you to feel more confident and prepared when speaking about your business or idea. This confidence can translate into better networking opportunities, increased interest in your business, and greater success in achieving your goals.
If presenting a 30 – 60 second pitch makes you uncomfortable, don’t worry; it is entirely normal and remember you are not alone.
Our business network is here to help and provides a safe place to practice your pitch and increase your confidence.
Your business pitch should include: –
Your Name
Your Business Name
What Your Business Does
and, Who invited you
